Drop 'em off on the way in and collect 'em on the way home. My kids are well beyond nursery, but I can remember getting home with what I thought was plenty of time to pick up the kids from nursery only to be stuffed by our traffic in town.
Plus, there's nowhere near enough Nursery places in Hertford because the council have secured priority for their staff in so many of them.

Assuming this is on the side of the station furthest from Tescos, on the old sidings, there's bags of room there to provide parking spaces for staff etc.

Just to clarify - Grasshoppers near County Hall do not offer a priority scheme for Council employees. I had to put my daughter's name down for a place before she was born and a year on still did not get the days I had hoped for. Grasshoppers allocate on a first come first served basis. There are a limited number of reduced fee places for Council employees, but again first come first served; I have accepted my daughter's place at full price rate and hope that at some stage over the next 3 years she will get moved on to the reduced rate. I don't know how other nurseries operate in terms of allocating their spaces.
I assume that the nursery application is in the office space that has been advertised for some time and at least it is close to Hartham for outdoor space, which is what Tiny Toes use.

Did I dream it or are there some safety roadworks going to be undertaken in the Mill Road area?

Not sure how this is connected to the subject of the thread, but I think you may be referring to the provision of a pedestrian crossing by the station.

Apologies, I didn't add SMT's post with some bold stuff applied.
The reference made by SMT to Hartham access was the reason for the post.

Another nursery will be a good thing if you ask me because I can't get my son in any for the times I want.
