I am looking for a mongrel puppy. I am not too fussed which cross but I would prefer medium size, short hair and a gentle temprement. I am willing to provide a good home asap. Can anyone help?? Thanks.

Have you tried the RSPCA kennels at South Mimms, off the road between Potters Bar and London Colney? They usually have a collection of different dogs, pedigree or Heinz 57 Variety; though last time we went the majority of abandoned and rescued pups were Bull Terriers.

Thanks for your advice. We did try there but with all the Bull Terriers it seems they cater for people wanting a dog as an accessory rather than a pet.

Have you tried Wood Green animal shellter Haydon, and God Manchester up A10 past Royston. Thanks for your advice. We did try there but with all the Bull Terriers it seems they cater for people wanting a dog as an accessory rather than a pet.

We got our last 2 dogs from Wood Green Animal Shelter at Godmanchester - huge number of dogs and puppies. Always worth a visit.

Wood Green - marvellous.. slightly off topic as got beloved old codger of a cat from there instead of a dog. worth the trip.
