Am new to this forum but have used it to read reviews re new restaurants etc. Visited the Merchant House recently in the hope that it would provide the sort of dining that we enjoyed at The Hillside before Justin and Jurga left. However, was very disappointed indeed. Food was poor. Presentation was ok but there was very little taste to anything and servings were not at all generous. The vegetables (inc in the price) were pretty awful - just boiled and again, very tasteless. The prices were extortionate for the food presented and we will not be going again.
