Rating take-aways from restaurants?

We've recently used the delivery/take-away arm of both The Hot House and Tikka Cottage and ordered meals that we have eaten in the restaurants so knew what we were expecting. On both occasions the meals were quite mild and in Tikka Cottage's instance, totally bland. When we have had the same dishes in the restaurant(s) they have been full of flavour and a good level of heat - and we're not hot heads by any means. Has anyone else found this, too, and is there away around it?

Use the Bismillah? They only do take aways, they also deliver and they won't give preferential service to the customers eating in, who can complain to their faces if it's wrong!

I do the same with Shahenshah. I always have a Bombay Gosht whether getting a takeaway or eating in. The only difference I've found is that by the time I get it home, there's loads of oil floating on top. Not sure if it just settles out of the food or they use more oil for the takeaway. Either way, once I've drained it off, it's still bloody lovely!!! Best Peshwari naan in Hertford too
