I was driving around Bengeo yesterday and noticed a very substantial; possibly period property which seems to be derelict. It is located on the corner of St Leonard’s Road and Ware Park Road and is surrounded by quite an old looking wall. We drove around the back along Ware Park Road and could see that all of the rather grand looking windows are boarded up as is the gate way at the front. Does anyone know the story behind this house? It seems a real shame for such an imposing house to lie empty and seemingly unloved.
