Shopping Villages
Would anyone happen to know of any Shopping Villages around the Hertford area. I'm not thinking of on the size of Bicester Village but something like Westmill Farm (maybe slightly bigger)that has small units that specialise in various items - antiques, furniture, homeware etc etc.
I'm trying to find one to take the in-laws to this weekend as I've we've been to a few in the Cotswolds and they are nice to stroll around, grab a coffee and maybe a bite to eat.
Any suggestions would be great.

I always used to take my folks to Crews Hill - there's a great variety of amazing nurseries that have loads of stuff under cover. Several have cafes. Or what about Van Hages? That's like a shopping village these days. If they like antiques there are several antiques centres clustered together in the Maltings in Sawbridgeworth, right next to the station, and one of those has a mighty fine cafe upstairs.

When I drive along the A120 to visit me Nan in Hedingham, I note there is a Designer Outlet Shopping Village on the Braintree bypass. I personally have no idea what fresh hell this could be but it may be your in-laws' cup of tea, Bubba, and it's around 30 mins from Hertford, I expect you could Google it to find out more.

The Braintree one is called Freeport and is quite nicely laid out but it's more like the Bicester one. Plenty of coffee amongst the designer outlets though.
There is one farm building type place round Radlett somewhere but I think it has soft furnishings type outlets.
Also - quite an interesting similar place in Botany Bay near Crews Hill. Lots of different shops and a tea room.
Hopefully an imaginative Google search should pull up more details

Thanks for the info. peeps. I will have a look at the Braintree village as well as the one in Radlett.
Newgirl - Our friend owns the Botnay Bay Village. It's a nice place to stroll around at the weekend for sure although he is actually looking to change it at the moment, into small office units - which we think is crazy as he's doing well as it is currently.

The one at Radlett has a large Fired Earth/Aga shop, an organic butchers, an interior shop, a small antiques/nick-nacks shop and a tea room that does lunches and snacks. I can't remember what else was there.

Braintree Freeport is very good if you like the outlet centre type of thing.
