Old HC Racing shop on St Andrew Street
I see someone is moving in. My eyes are crap and I only noticed it on the bus this morning as was on the way to work so I didn't see the banner in the window properly but I'm sure it said something like Barbara ???? Studios...
Any ideas what it is?

Had a look through window on Sunday - it's a handmade jewellery and hat shop?!?
Good luck to them, think they might have a niche, very, very niche market [:)]

They had a small selection of jewellery in the window just before Christmas, and it looked very nice - seem to recall seeing silver with amber items.
Given the usual complaints on here are that it's 'yet another x,y,z' that's opening, no one can complain if it is selling niche products!

I agree entirely - we want Hertford to be full of independent shops selling great things. My point was just that in a difficult retail market, selling handmade one off hats and jewellery could be a struggle.
What we don't want is to see shops come and go in the blink of an eye. That is why we should all shop locally and, as traders in a small market town, support one another [:)]

Barbara Martin is opening her shop on January 26th.
She produces and sells her own jewellery and will also be selling other works from other selected craftspeople. Barbara was originally based at Parndon Mill, Harlow.
