Christmas Lights AND Mayor Ruffles.
If every light in your house flickers at about 6.30 next Thursday it's because the Mayor has switched on the Christmas lights at The Riverside Garden Centre. They have all the lights up already in preparation and the National Grid is going to take quite a hit when they flick the switch.
They're having a special charity evening Thursday in aid of the Isabel Hospice with free mince pies and mulled wine.

Another chance for Peter Ruffles to get his picture in the Mercury then! I was most worried this week when I read the paper and didn't see a photo of him [:)]
Mind you, I've noticed Justin's photo cropping up a few times recently - are you planning on giving the mayor a run for his money in the "most photographed Hertford figure" stakes?
