Mercury Posed Photo
This week's Mercury headline "In The Grip of Booze" is accompanied by what appears to me to be a posed photo. It looks as if the can of Stella in front of the pixelated youth is unopened?

I have the paper in front of me, and agree that the can definitely looks unopened. Does anyone know the reporter (Daniel Phillips), and if so can they tell if it's him in the photo?

He may, of course, have become so pixelated on previous cans of Stella that the ring-pull now poses too much of a challenge.

I agree about the photo - it could have been a photo of my son or any number of his friends! Certainly that can doesn't look open to me.

I note that on page 4 of the Mercury, the Stella can has been emptied, crumpled and carefully moved across the street to be photographed. [:)] I wonder who had the pleasure of drinking the lukewarm 'wife-beater'?
