Sunday 6th January is the date for the 4th annual walk this year. It is a 5 mile (8 km) stroll down the Cole Green Way to Letty Green, and back to the Black Horse. Walkers/strollers/cyclists to gather at the pub at 10.30am onwards to start at 11 am. Dependant on how fast you travel, the stroll normally takes +/- 2 hours. This year we are supporting the Mayor's charities, i.e. The Ron Pickering Memorial Foundation (www.rpmf.org.uk) which supports young athletes who have great potential and require funding, and also the Royal British Legion (www.britishlegion.org.uk). Jean Pickering, Ron's widow and a former British athlete will be starting the race for us. Sponsorship forms are available from the pub or to download from the website. www.blackhorseherts.co.uk.
