Tailess cat found
I feel an idiot for asking this but does anyone know the owner of a fat ginger tailess cat in the Tower Road area?
Its currently sat in our back garden and may have been there since Christmas eve.
Our garden is surrounded by fencing and I'm not sure the cat could make it over the fence on its own.
Any ideas as to who it belongs to?

there are 2 notices up by the coop for lost cats. not sure of the details.

Unfortunately there's only one poster there now and thats for a tabby. The one thats now in our neighbours garden is a persian type short legged one. Its incredibly furry but totally brainless and sat outside as I type this.

Have you tried ringing the local RSPCA or police in case someone has reported their loss?
I found two labrador puppies wandering the streets one night (not in Hertford) and rang the RSPCA. Someone had reported losing them via an open back gate. The RSPCA then contacted the owner and told them where I was so he could come and collect his pets.

and also call the local vets. when we lost our cat (she's turned up now thank goodness) we contacted all the local vets who hold lists of missing/found cats.

If you can catch it, take it to any vet and they can scan it to see if it has a micro-chip. If so they can then contact the owner for you

The cat has now been taken by the RSPCA. Unfortunately as I had to go to work yesterday I couldn't get it to a vets. This would have been fine but I got OH to give the cat some food which it didn't eat. This set alarm bells ringing so I contacted the east Herts RSPCA who seemed to be a bit more savvy than their national helpline. If only him indoors wasn't so alergic to cats I could have got him to take it to the vets.
