Christmas Trees
Does anyone have a regular place that they purchase real xmas trees from in the hertford area each year?
Do people on here mostly get fake or real trees? Would be very interested to know, as a big debate in my house going on about this subject!!!

Van Hages, but the secret is to leave buying it until Christmas Eve - they have loads in stock, and they are all half price or less. Plus they drill a hole for the stand, and wrap it in netting. The place is always deserted by then as well.

got mine from van hagues last year...v. pricey but a good selection.
Real tree compulsory in our house. Does anyone else think the fake ones with built in lights that change coulor are the tackiest thing to hit the planet?

Whilst on the subject of Crimbo shopping, does anybody know where i can get an Advent Calender that has a Nativity scene on? The only ones i can find are pushing movies, tv programms or some sort of sweets.

Tescos are selling Divine (fair trade) calanders, which have some nativity pics on them.

Ok looks like most are going with my thoughts which is that real trees are the only way to go! I cant stand fake trees and am yet to see one at any price that resembles a living tree!
