Teddy bear shop
Not that I'm late in buying my wife a present or anything but does anyone know if there is a shop in Hertford that sells decent quality teddy bears? Wiggingtons used to but I think they closed that bit.

Wiggingtons do have them - I was in there last Saturday and couldn't BEAR to look (Sorry) And the one I glanced at was beautiful.
If your other half is into Bears there are some fantastic books about bears around - obvious place being Hertford Books.
I think the only other options maybe Decorated Room or Starfish.

Thank you. I think I'll try Wiggingtons first up since I have bought her bears from there before. I don't think Clintons will be 'exclusive' enough - and might give the impression that I picked it up on the way to the counter with the card - a bit last minute, petrol station flowers type of thing.

Paul, let us know how you get on. If you are feeling really good they have some fantatic jewellery, decorations and trinkets. I'm too scared to go in now (or Mr T may get the collywobbles [:D])

I bought a lovely soft, white teddy in a box. Not quite what I had in mind originally but I know she'll love it. I thought there might be a bigger selection.
I have to admit I did pick up some chocolates on the way to the till in Clintons, so that's a bit of a 'petrol station' purchase, although Thorntons chocs always go down well.
Played it safe with the jewellery and left well alone for now. But it's worth knowing the trinkets and decorations are there for future gifts.
