Jewellery Valuation
Is there a jeweller in the town that has a person to value items on the premises – I wanted to bring in a diamond ring to get it valued there and then, rather than (as some jewellery shops do) have it sent away?

I think that most places like to hang on to it for a while for security even if they do valuations on the premises. You are doubtless honest and the ring is doubtless yours, but jewellers don't know that and usually want to hang on to it just incase.
I always recommend Colin Sykes in Bircherly Green but do not know if they value on site.
