Anybody been to the Sow and Pigs which is under new ownership? I went there on Saturday night with the outlaws and it was great. Nice food, excellent service and welcoming atomsphere. About 25 pounds a head for three courses and a cheeky bottle of plonk, couple of pints of Strongbow. Luvvly Jubbly. I shall be back!!!

Mission possible, I saw a man called Tom Cruise there once. He had a baseball cap on and was reading The Sun. Lovely pub then, hope it is still the same.

Apparently the chef there is ex No. 11, and No. 11 prices seem to be the order of the day. Fish and chips at £10.95! Not that good value in my opinion unless you like plenty of peas which seemed to flood the plate.

I went with the missus and the outlaws and it came to £100 for four which was a starter and a main meal each. A bottle of Pinot Grigio blush and two pints of strongbow and a couple of soft drinks. I would suggest for the quality of food, service and setting, that this is excellent value. It is indeed the chef from NO 11 but it is not he who sets the prices.

I had a very pleasant meal there last night. I thought the food was good - the wine was a little on the expensive side but the service was excellent. It was good to have a smaller menu unlike some places which have a long list of dishes which you know cannot be freshly made.
