Ruffles Remembers... more
Just to remind eveyrone that Peter is doing another of his fantastic slide shows at Sele School on Wednesday 6th June. If you've not been before, they are highly entertaining. If you HAVE been before you should note that the material he'll be covering on Wednesday is different from what he presented at his last show. Proceeds go to The Museum.
In addition, The Museum have a 100 Club, which I would encourage everyone to join - again, funds in support of our lovely town museum.

Not knowing Peter, can you tell me what the slide show is about please?

The history of Hertford, what Peter doesn't know.............is very little.
Don't get him started on the building of Gascoyne Way
If you haven't seen him and are even slightly interested in our Historic Town it is well worth the time.

When does the show start and is it pay on the door or do you have to get tickets in advance.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's talk. As a relative newcomer to Hertford (6 years) it was simply fascinating. The gasps and sighs of recognition and remembrance from the more established Hertfordians in the audience were particularly pleasing to hear!!
This man is a star and I would say to all - GO TO HIS NEXT TALK - you won't regret it!

Glad a newcomer found it as interting as us locals, the last slide he showed of the C 1900 ariel view of Hertford was fascinating to me as it had where 6 or 7 generations of my family lived all in one frame, you can see we are well travelled!
