attempting to trace a taxi from friday night
Before i give up, i just thought i'd ask here to see if anyone had any bright ideas...
i strongly suspect i dropped my mobile phone in a hertford taxi on Friday night, and have been trying to find the taxi/driver/taxi company ever since to ask if it's been handed in...
Unfortunately all i have to go on, was that the driver had a moustache... and picked me up from opposite the layby at hertford north at around half nine on Friday evening.
Anyone suggest anything, or should i go ahead and cancel it???

Why don't you go there tomorrow evening for an hour. The same person or same company is likely to use the same locations for pick ups.
And what's happened to Del?

Get hold of a CB radio and tune into channle 15 and you will beable to speak to all the taxi drivers because thats the usual frequency the taxis have on in Hertford

thanks for the suggestions, but i think i'm going to have to give up... i've been getting funny looks going around town saying i'm looking for a man with a moustache!
Del's been offline for a while now... but he's just got a new computer, if he ever works out how to operate it he'll be back!

I have a list of nearly every taxi firm working out of Hertford. If you want to email me can forward it and one or more of the larger firms may recognise the description.
Anyone else is welcome to this also. Printed it in one of my newsletters and useful for anyone incl pubs/bars/restaurants/shops that often need to call a cab for their customers.
