Good Service
I would like to praise a couple non-retail places where i have always received excellent service. Cafe Nero - the young chap Nick, infact all the staff, always service with a smile.
Also would like to praise the lady on the fruit and veg stall in the square, always there rain or shine.

Oddbins.
I have always been more than satisfied with the advice given by the staff and their response is always welcoming.......they never condescend regardless of what you are buying and how much you intend to spend.

I am sure Hertford Cameras are nice people, i intended this thread to be for parising non-retail in hertford. Retail has been praised in a previous thread.

A noble sentiment - but surely Cafe Nero are a retail establishment? If you want an example of excellent service in Hertford that does not come under the heading of "Retail" then I would nominate the lady in the audiology department at Hertford County who fixed my hearing aid for me recently - without an appointment and while I waited.

How many non-retail establishments can there be? You could only even include a section of the Museum as they do have a retail side, and do the Library still sell off books? Are Banks retail? Yes. If not I would nominate HSBC.

Fair comment, people like hospital staff yes, postmen, window cleaners, hairdressers/barbers, car mechanics etc all non-retail.

Hairdressers and Car Mechanics do sell a service.
If they are not, I would recommend Kevin Wrangle, Mechanic from Bengeo
Terry, a Next Courier, I was pleased to find when I moved he still covered my area. Other people have mentioned him to me also.
Powell's Funeral Directors (are they non-retail) not something you 'shop' around for.
The chappies that resurfaced our road.

Yes Tigger, Powell's Funeral very good service, sadly needed their services quite a lot over past couple years, always very professional.

Powells for sure, very efficient and helpful to work with as well as with customers.
our postman in Bengeo, he is great
the boys at Roy Carters car repairs and MOT in Ware Road
also the couriers who deliver parcels, we are always lucky with them, as well.
