Whats surplus funiture?

Is it seconds or maybe special purchase type stock ?. I dont think it does much for its image (that i percieve as boutique/exclusive, and priced to match) to have this sort of 2nd tatty shopfront.

It has opened a temp shop front on Fore street (old estate agents space i believe) for 2 weeks selling surplus furniture.

We were in there on Saturday. Considering it's suprplus stock, doesnt say much for the sales unfortunately, as there was loads of stuff in there. I'm hopping to take advantage of much begger discounts next Sunday!

Everything in the main store must be surplus. I've never seen or known of anyone buying anything in there!

I think Loftcat furniture is beautiful, my only problem with it is a lot of it, if not most of it is made with hardwoods, mohogany etc., and the environmental implication of that concerns me.

Just had a look through the window of Loftcat2 .... Surely if they want to sell something, they should clean the windows?, it looks totally uninviting and creates a bad image. Infact, they ought to re-name it 'LOFTAT'.
