Bengeo Street Store closing..
another shop closing next week it would seem, don't think the fact he took it over with the off licence problems helped.

Is it me or is it just a bit sad that no-one else has contributed to the fact that the Bengeo High Street store has closed?

Thanks for that, we felt so sory for him he used to drive from the wembly area each day as he couldn't afford to live round here anymore. Don't think he could compete with the Co Ops longer openening hours, when Charlie was there I seem to remember the Co Op was not open in the evenings or as early in the morning

It is a shame, I'm sure that many Bengeo residents rely on the Store.

I also felt very sad for the most recent young couple. I got the impression they didn't really realise what they were taking on. Certainly they were not told about the impending suspension of the license when they put their money in. This kind of store may be viable in London, but not here with the Co-Op so nearby. They lost a lot of personal money, enough to set their lives on a different course than it might otherwise have taken. I hope they recover and find prosperity, wherever they may be now.
