Local Choirs???

As a recent newcomer to Hertford, does anyone know of any local choirs or singing groups. Some years ago I was involved with a choir that sang popular music, rather than traditional choral music, and was wondering if there is anything similar in this part of Hertfordshire.

Hertford Choral Society are perhaps more local and they also have an open membership policy http://www.choral-society.com I'm not sure though if they will be too traditional?

Thanks for the feedback guys. The HCS looks interesting as I used to sing the big choral epics (Elijah, The Messiah, etc) at school, but these days I'm after something a bit more contemporary. I've therefore contacted 'Fusion' and got their details. Judging by their repertoire, they sound really good. I'm particularly intrigued to hear their version of ELO's 'Mr Blue Sky'.

I have just been to the show mentioned above (having had nothing better to do) and I am really glad I made the effort. What a fantastic show; singing, dancing, live band (as opposed to a dead one [:D]). Quite simply a fantastic night, thank you Fusion.

Due to the inadequacy of my internet provider, I have been floating in the ether for the past 2 weeks, and not my usual tank, so missed this post altogether. We had been planning to go to this show but it clashed with my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Anyway, just wanted to say I'm glad you enjoyed it. We had Fusion sing at our wedding 3 years ago and at Mr Fish's birthday bash - excellent stuff and well worth seeing. [:D]

I am in Fusion and find that it is very enjoyable. I have been a member since 1999. We are always looking for more singers to join, we are a bit lacking on the male voice front. So if you feel that you like to sing in a choir that doesn't do church music this is that place to come. [:D]
