Hertford won 7-1 yesterday against Royston Town, that is 16 goals in there last 2 games, not counting the win on Tuesday in a cup game, next match on Tuesday 10th October at home against Biggleswade Town. Get your self along to the ground and show your support.

Yes Dell Boy, the forward line is looking the best in the league currently and perhaps the back line is beginning to show a little more resolve! It certainly needed to! I like what's going on at the club - it's obvious that the new chairman has lots of ambition. The management changes have been positive - I'll leave it at that! I just hope the money doesn't dry up as it has previously. The club simply has to get out of that league this season. As you say there's another home game this Tues eve - I'll be there! I hope more people get down there too. It's great entertainment.

Hello back. Always keeping an eye on the Blues. Good to see them doing well despite the recent turmoil. I check out the forum every now and then (seems to get a bit less frequent). yes - a good 2-0 win for the boys. But did they make it a little more difficult than it should have been?! The game had a nice edge to it though. Alas I won't get to see them on Saturday in the local derby - I will have to suffer the potentially less entertaining Premiership game at Anfield instead. You know what makes it a 'real' pleasurable experience for me watching the Town? A pre-match pint of The Reverand James in the BH! Marvellous!

Recommend a visit..proper football, no prima donas (chips are served) friendly crowd..would be good if they /someone could promote them a bit more..free tickets, family day etc. its whats football is all about, standing, chat and a drink pitchside, just wish I could get there more often.

a last minute penalty to Barnet cost us the game - 0-1. Seemed a bit harsh really for handball against one of the Hertford lads in the wall defending a free kick. Still, the lads can be so proud of themselves for matching Barnet over every blade of grass tonight. No one can dispute that the club is progressing well under Greenwood and the future looks good. It was also great to see so many down the Park.

Massive game coming up on Saturday v Edgware, they are top at the moment and Hertford are 2nd, try and get along for this 1 the atmosphere should be good, apparently Edgware have 2 or 3 very loud supporters so the Hertford supporters should be in good voice for this 1. Any 1 living near the ground cover your ears, 1 of the Edgware supporters is supposed to have a airhorn but I think the Hertford supporters will have 1 or 2 airhorns aswell. Should be a great game with a lot of good banter between the supporters. Remember under 16s are free with a paying adult.

The team recorded their ninth successive victory in the league last night, apparently a record for the club. Edgware are on a winning run of eight themselves so something has got to give. In club cricket(not county cricket where he was relatively unsuccessful), this guy used to be notorious as a complete nutter, particularly on the pitch. Obviously talented but just not the sort of bloke you'd really like to spend too much time with. Then this year the reports are coming back from those who have played against him and the umpires on the circuit that he has changed his ways and become a gentleman both on and off the pitch. Sounds like he might have matured and he could be good news for the football club. Good luck to him.

Despite all the rain over the last few days, tonights match is on. With only a mickey mouse cup game on the telly, come along for another, hopefully, entertaining game. Both Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa were in attendance at last Tuesdays game, you never know, they might be there again.

Unfortunately the last time I went there was a percentage of the supporters who seemed to to treat the game as an opportunity to ahout abuse at someone. I am amazed that anyone would want to become a referee or assistant and attend matches at this level when people just a few yards away are shouting the most offensive abuse. Consequently I have never taken my son to a game at Hertford Town. This is such a shame. Admittedly things may have changed. But I still have the memory of that visit too fresh to warrant a return.

ewoowar I'm with you on this point - its not great when you hear someone being attacked in this way, however... one of the very first Hertford matches I went to had the Wembley Town manager going nuts and effing and blinding very loudly all match. As we're not the types to swear at home my nine year old thought he was quite ridiculous - a figure of fun rather than anyone to be copied. Lesson: you bring up your kids OK and they will know whats acceptable, even if they do see a Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay on the TV or watching the Blues. 90% of the matches since have not had lots of bad language and nasty attacks. I've found the chanting from the home crowd to be partisan sure but good humoured - the chants are often creative and very funny. The crowd I go with are generally tree hugging liberals and I'd like to think we would step in if we heard anything remotely racist or too abusive. If you haven't been for a while I'd say give it another go you just might enjoy it.

Lesson: you bring up your kids OK and they will know whats acceptable, even if they do see a Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay on the TV or watching the Blues. 90% of the matches since have not had lots of bad language and nasty attacks. I've found the chanting from the home crowd to be partisan sure but good humoured - the chants are often creative and very funny. The crowd I go with are generally tree hugging liberals and I'd like to think we would step in if we heard anything remotely racist or too abusive. If you haven't been for a while I'd say give it another go you just might enjoy it.

A tough test for Pablo, Billy and the lads on Saturday. At home to top of the league Harefield United. However, the Blues have won their last three on the trot, including a very impressive away performance at Langford on Tuesday night. Come and support the team, Ricky Villa will be there too, taking in a game before he heads back to South America.

All that bad weather earlier in the year has created a rather busy schedule for the team in the next couple of weeks, Hertford have FIVE home fixtures in the next TWELVE days, starting tonight with a local derby against Welwyn Garden City. Hertford have won their last 4 matches so might be worth a trip down to see how they have progressed.
