Police speed wagon

I see the speed wagon was out on Gallows Hill again the other day, whilst walking the dog on Friday night at around midnight, I was nearly wiped out by a speeding car coming along Ware road at what must have been about 60mph, just didn't see it coming, and to make matters worse it was a licenced taxi no suprise that it didn't halt until it hit the roundabout, and I could hear it move off slowly as it approached teh cameras on Ware road! I have often observed cars and vans late at night with their toes down on Ware road between the police station and Chadwell Springs, and yes I can see why the temptaion to go at speed is there. I do wonder if it would be more productive for the speed wagon to be out late at night Fridays and Saturdays rather than during the day. Then again if proper speed traps were set up they may even catch a good dozen or so drunken drivers as Hertfords car parks are full about 8pm and virtually empty by 2am, and there is no way as sure as apples is apples all those people are sober when driving! Those that are sober I applaude you [:D], those that are not how dare you put lives at risk![:(!] I know there are issues about policing an numbers at weekends, but there are so rarely any police in Hertford late at night that I think there should be some free to do a bit of speed checking...
