Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
Did anyone catch the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight over Hertford this afternoon. I would guess their course was S to SSW and I guess they were en route from Duxford to Dover, for a flypast to commemorate the Battle of Britain. I SWEAR that the Lancaster was flying at no more than 800'. What a brilliant sight.

Ridiculous though it may seem, I was wafting down the Lea in one of those lovely wee rented boats you hire from the boat-renty-outlet by Broxbourne swimming pool. There I was with the Lemon family when the Lancaster flubbered over us. I was desperately trying to get Lemon Junior to appreciate the significance of this but he seemed more keen to assert "Daddy, there are too many empty drinks bottles in the water for the fish to get out".
The boat didn't sink.

I don't think sausages are 100% meat except perhaps for a certain few. Most will contain a percentage of fats etc.
They could be more economically delivered by road. I believe Walls used to have delivery vans once.

Not being a Coronation Street watcher I am not familiar with the character in question, in fact I find television nowadays largely uninforming and lacking in cultural entertainment. For this reason I have not bothered with the horrendous licence fee for a colour set and as I only watch it for the news and the rare film of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodger I have retained a monochrome television.
I doubt I am the person you refer to in terms of travelling to and from school as I suspect we may have attended different schools and possibly years apart judging from more liberal style and attitudes in your postings than my own. Also I was a boarder.
However I do like cheese sandwiches but we were forbidden to carry food around in plastic bags.
