Problems Registering?

If you're having problems registering on the forum, ie you're not getting a confirmation email when you fill in the registration form, there may be a number of reasons:- 1. You're trying to register from a webmail acount, such as Yahoo, Hotmail MSN etc. This is not allowed for security reasons. 2. Your IP address could not be verified. 3. You registered with an incorrect email address. 4. You're using a silly name! 5. You're already registered under another name 6. You're registering via an offshore server (Russian, South American etc) 7. You've selected a username based on a single issue or comment See also http://www.hertford.net/yoursay/faq.asp

My sister wants to register as she likes to read the posts and would like to reply but only has a hotmail address so can't. Can you think of any way round it and explain why hotmail is not allowed to register please.

i believe the hotmail restriction is very harsh. Maybe she can get away with a gmail account? can the admin confirm if that's allowed?

And a further reason... 8. You are registering using an address from what appears to be a porn or "pharmaceutical" website, probably with the intention of promoting your "material" to a wider audience. Ditto any other number of scam promotions. Registrations from "Hardcore Hunny" and "Improve Your Girth" will be declined!

Just bumping this topic to re-iterate point 5 of the opening post. You are only allowed to register ONCE. We have had instances where people have registered with two or more identities and posted using both names. There have also been one or two individuals who virtually conducted discussions with themselves, as if appearing to be two different people. This is simply fraudulent and a clear attempt to manipulate the forum. Anyone attempting this will be banned.
