Am I allowed to ask people here to be vigilant if they ever pass through Stanstead Abbotts? I am Hertford born and bred and have lived in Stanstead Abbotts with my wife for a year having left Hertford to find a more affordable retreat. The anti-social youth problem here is extraordinary, our car had it's wing mirror pulled off in the High Street 3 weeks ago and a friend had his wiper blades bent in the car park last weekend (Mercury reported). We have also seen stones being thrown at cars (today again!!) driving down the High Street by children (not youths!) and having spoken to several home owners, the situation is becoming intolerable. BE AWARE - KIDS THROW STONES AT MOVING CARS IN STANSTEAD ABBOTTS. I know that SG12 is a different postcode to SG13/14 but as it is so close, can people in The Community PLEASE be vigilant when driving through the village. Admin - I would appreciate if you would allow this to remain for a while please, just to get the message across. And by the way, the Police are aware but "resources are limited." Thank you.
