Does anyone want to support this? To the moderator - would a section for local genealogy discussion be allowed?

Would be a brilliant idea if we could. My fathers side of the family are Hertford born and bred at least from 1790, having trouble getting back further due to the records I want being destroyed in the All saints fire!

Do I take it this not going to happen? Might be useful though as with the new series of Who do you think you are I am sure there will be more prople looking at their local roots.

I did ask but have had no reply so far.
I think it would be a good idea, even for a trial month maybe.
Am I allowed to start the ball rolling Admin?

How far have you got? I am having trouble finding 2 death records and confirm one bith, all in Hertford ( as far as I know!) so am stuck at the moment
