Castle Hall
Castle Hall to house a four-screen cinema? How's that going to work then? Sounds crazy.

So that's where they are talking about. I don't see how that can happen unless serious expansion is involved. Perhaps they are going to take over the Working Mans Club next door for one screen and the old Mercury offices for another screen with interlinking walkways? The mind boggles
I wouldn't like to see the general theatre and hall facilities of Castle Hall lost to become a cinema, especially as there are still other potential sites - though the last thing we need is another aircraft hangar like Matalan and Focus.

The first thing that struck me was how as it going to accomadate the other activities that take place such as HDOS productions. Its of no benefit to Hertford to gain a cinema and lose a community venue.

Surely there is a better idea for a beatiful public hall than a cinema. I would be terrified of letting my children walk home after watching a film, dodging the flying bottles and the racing, blaring Chav Nova drivers !

Why not keep castle hall and knock down one of the disused McMullen buildings? Im bored. KEEP CASTLE HALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
