Flats at the old Antiques Centre.
It looks like the old Hertford Antiques on St Andrews Street is possibly going to be converted to flats.
A shame but I cannot see how another retail outlet could use the premises.

Difficult for non-domestic as it is a listed building and it may look pretty solid on the outside but its plaster and lathe inside and the structure can wobble. One reason why i couldn't hang cross street xmas lights there.

I think you may be thinking of the wrong building. Hertford Antiques and their stock left ages ago.

The offices behind Hertford Antiques are going to be turned into 8 flats - 3 ground floor, 3 1st floor and 2 top floor. They will be allocated 10 car parking spaces. Work has begun slowly. I have seen workmen in doing something with wiring. Presumably removing the wiring necessary for an office environment. I've noticed that cars parking there for the town often get notes put on their cars now asking them not to park there.

Even more housing then! Every time I go out, there seems to be some new accommodation being built. If everyone who moves in has at least one car, I do wonder how on earth the town's roads are going to cope? Turning back to the Antiques centre, what about this fish restaurant then? I thought Claydons' old shop was going to become a lobster bar or has that idea gone down the swanny?

We live in the houses behind this development and we heard a rumour about the front possibly being a fish restaurant. As no permission has been applied for yet I wonder whether it was merely a rumour. I don't know how easily you could turn a listed building into a restaurant with all the health and safety requirements etc.
