Info for pool team
I am trying to find out about how to get a pool team together and how do we get into a league or if there is anyone who would like to play for a pub team (i.e the bridge house)[8]

Try Dave Conway at the Marquee club or Dave Jones of Deejays taxis might know Jay. You could also speak to Paul the Greek who runs Shades matey or just wander in Shades and ask behind the jump as they are generally friendly there. Failing that, if you get the Mercury on a Friday and look at the league tables, ring one of the pubs up.
The rules are a lot different from what we play though Jay when I last played in the league and they would probably check you out before allowing you in.

There are two main leagues that are run locally, the Mercury League runs through the summer on Monday nights from May to October and the East Herts Pool League from October through to April on Thursdays. Application forms for the new EHPL season will probably be sent out in August, I will make sure one gets to you. Matches are best of 15 team events where no player is able to play more than 3 times, so you will need at least five players for each match

Finally for information Paul the Greek no longer runs Shades, he sold up a few months back.
