I met my friend Sam when we both lived in Westall Close and spent many a happy hour in the Black Horse. Sam moved to Harrogate a couple of years ago, after marrying James who also lived in Westall Close! Sam was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in 2005 and James is trying to complete the National 3 Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden) within 24 hours to raise money for a charity researching the illness.
