What makes Hertford special.
Most of us live here and we must have a reason for doing so......
So.............nor negativity...............just what makes Hertford special...

Being right next to the countryside.
Friendly people.
Small enough to bump into people you know, yet big enough to go about your business unhindered.
Feels more like a market town than a county town (which can be nasty informal places - I grew up near one - yuk!)
Remains relatively unravaged by monstrous architecture (Gascoyne Way multi-storey is an exception)
Everything is in walking distance
It's a well-stocked town where you can get virtually everything you need.
And <ponders> it just feels "right".

Have to agree with all your reasons and include the River. Moved back a while ago by default but couldn't imagine leaving now. We can all say we would like this that and the other shop wise but I don't think we are doing too badly. Glad to be part of it [8D]
