Castle Gates Damaged

A section of wall forming the gates to Hertford Castle have been damaged after a collision with a motor vehicle.
The accident happened around 4:30pm on Monday and knocked over a pillar and section of wall at the southern end of the structure.
The vehicle involved did not stop and East Herts Council are trying to identify the culprit.
