There's just a week left to air your views on the proposed expansion of Wheatcroft School.

The County Council plan to increase the number of children in reception from 45 to 60 from September 2011. This follows an increase in the number of under-5s in the areas surrounding the school.
The resulting increase in number will mean that new classrooms have to be built. The council are planning to build these on nearby playing fields a quarter of a mile from the school.
However, it has been suggested that the council look more closely at expanding into the disused police station site immediately next door to the school.
The nearby Pines School was closed by the County Council in 2003 due to falling numbers.
