Wiggington's To Close

Wiggington's in Old Cross is to close at the end of the month after 23 years in the town.

Owner Angela Roberts is retiring and has tried unsuccessfully to sell the business, which will now close with the loss of five jobs.

Wigginton's once had three premises around Old Cross, selling furniture, gifts, clothes and toys. The clothes shop at the Old Cross Post Office is now occupied by Boutini and the gift shop is now the Hertford Women's Society. The current shop stopped selling toys when the gift shop was relocated.
