Two teenage boys have been arrested after a man received serious head injuries in an attack in Talbot Street on Saturday evening.
The 31 year-old man was assaulted by a group of youths at around 11:30pm.
Detective Sergeant Richard Venier, investigating, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to get in contact with police. Also if anyone saw a group of hooded youths, some of whom may have had BMX style bikes with them, in the vicinity of Talbot Street and Ware Road, where it meets Railway Place, around 11.30pm should also contact us.
