Hertford East is to be hit by a week-long rail strike, starting on Monday 21st September.

All services in and out of the station will be suspended during the industrial action, which is being taken by train drivers' union ASLEF.
National Express East Anglia have offered a conditional 4% pay rise to the drivers, following a series of 48-hour strikes last month. However, a ballot of the union's members saw the proposal rejected.
Meanwhile, Hertford North will see a 24-hour strike on Monday 14th as RMT members walk out in support of a sacked colleague.
