Sugar Hut Under Fire

Just nine months after opening, the Sugar Hut in Old Cross is attracting the wrong sort of attention.



Locals residents are demanding a meeting with council officials to discuss noise and nuisance generated by the late-night venue.

Anti-social behaviour, fights and problem parking have united residents of Old Cross Wharf, Nichoas Lane and Old Library Lane, who met with local police recently to discuss disturbances related to the bar.

Police are working with the bar's management to address the problems and residents have been urged to report all incidents.
