Carphone Warehouse Joins Bircherley Green Exodus

Saturday 21 April 2018

Carphone Warehouse is the latest shop to close in Bircherley Green, with Hair4Men set to follow at the beginning of May.

The shopping centre is due for part demolition and redevelopment, with work expected to begin in the Summer.

Only seven shops remain open in Bircherley Green - Boots, New Look, The Card Factory, Fancy Nails, Timsons, Hair4Men and Superdrug. The other 14 have either closed down or relocated elsewhere in the town. Those retailers still trading in the town centre include Halfords (Railway Street), Bandabar (mobile phone repairs, Bull Plain), Lloyds Bank (Market Place) and Serendipity (Parliament Square).

Developers Wrenbridge are expected to make an announcement about building works in the coming weeks, with Centurion House being the first phase of development.
