Local Elections 2017

Post by codek2 » Wed 03 May, 2017 7:00 am

Hi,

Not sure about others, but we've had no leaflets for the local county council elections which are tomorrow.

I've found the names of the candidates at least, but can't find much else.

I seem to remember in previous years, perhaps more for general election where people actually put effort in - there were websites where you could effectively view their campaign leaflets. Does anyone know if that exists for this one?

Thanks!
Dan

I've found these (by googling hertfordshire manifesto):

Labour
LibDem
I couldn't find the Conservative one but here is an article mentioning its existance!

thanks that's pretty handy

actually the lib dems and labour are very similar.

Suspect the tory one is similar too :o) . Not really sure why party politics comes in at the local level.

There's quite some BS there (including the generic we'll drive out bad practice in the NHS - as if.), but the labour proposal to restore 7 day service at the tip is an attractive proposal.

I've had two leaflets, although one of them I delivered myself!

Nothing at all here in Bengeo. Only know the candidates as I am a postal voter and got the form a couple of weeks ago. Pathetic example of democracy

Maybe all the candidates accept the result is a foregone conclusion and have decided to focus their energies elsewhere.
