Please does anyone of a company in the Hertford area that prepares furniture for painting, and also possibly to paint it too?
Thank you

Buy some Owatrol Easy Surface Prep (ESP), available on Amazon.

Dead easy to apply, sticks to anything and provides a paintable surface. Converted all my varnished kitchen cabinets too cream paint and saved myself thousands of pounds ins new kitchen, or kitchen doors. :D

Try the furniture place at westmill farm - i've not used them - but i saw a banner saying they do restorations, and stripping/painting etc.

You possibly could try Jayne Dutt, who runs a company called Goose Pig Interiors
