Bike theft and vandalism.

Post by Ewoowar » Mon 22 Sep, 2014 9:52 am

My son's bike was stolen yesterday from where it was locked near Hartham Common.

After putting some posts out on social media it was then found. The thief had stolen the saddle post and saddle, but nothing else.

However they had then smashed it. Both wheels had been stamped on and were buckled and had spokes broken and the rear gear set had been smashed from the rear wheel.

It wasn't an expensive bike. It wasn't an expensive bike but it was the upset causedto him by seeing what some neanderthal had done needlessly.

I really can't understand the mentality however there appears to be a feeling among some that they'll never get caught or punished for such acts and this gives them licence to keep doing it.
