White cat run over on Bramfield Road

Saw a lovely looking cat lying in the middle of the Bramfield Road this morning. White with either black or gray patches. Very sad.
I was late for my train and it was a little way from houses so would have been difficult to locate the owner (it was 6.30am so not sure people would have appreciated my knocking on their door). Hope the owner finds out soon so is not left wondering what happened.
