Made in Dagenham - New Production - Hertford Theatre

Post by Drama Queen » Tue 19 Sep, 2017 3:43 pm

Hi all

Well, its almost time for Hertford Dramatic & Operatic Society's next production at the Hertford Theatre of "Made in Dagenham"... a completely new musical portraying the events of the late 1960's when the Ford ladies at the Dagenham motor plant went on strike and gained equal pay for women at Ford UK. It shows their getting recognised as skilled workers and the interaction between the then Prime Minister Harold Wilson and the Minister of Transport, Barbara Castle. Some of you may have seen the recent film - so if you're looking for a fun night out - and language in this production is appropriate to the setting and time - so not for younger children - get your tickets on sale now at the Hertford Theatre Box office - 01992 531 500 or www.hertfordtheatre.com or in person. This promises a good fun and totally inappropriate night out for all.. so if you're fed up with the wet weather, where better than to be "in Dagenham"!!!! The show runs from 10-14 October - with a matinee on the Saturday starting at 2.30 pm prompt so.. come along - ! :)
