It's closed again today and will be for a while I would imagine as the water is pretty high although my husband has just come in and said that there is a fire engine the furthest side of the bridge so perhaps they are trying to pump some water out - or possibly are stuck!! - just heard that the fire engine is - allegedly - a "party" fire engine:D

The fire engine has broken down in the flood and is just getting recovered at the moment.

This morning this road was closed, the road through Hooks Cross was closed and there was an accident on the A414 to Welwyn. Seemed like all routes to Stevenage were closed.....

I think the A414 is probably open again
