Topic Display

Post by Andrew » Tue 03 Dec, 2013 11:53 pm

On the old system I could bookmark the active topics page with a default of just displaying topics with new posts since I lasted visited. I have now bookmarked active topics but I get a default display of topics updated in the last 7 days. The shortest alternative seems to be 1 day but that choice does not stick and is still cruder than the old system. Is there a way round this on the new boards?

Unread items brings up threads with posts that are over 2 days old that I have read. Is this a cookie issue? If so which cookies should I put into the CCleaner do not delete list please?

I find opening up the main board index and clicking 'view unread posts' to be quite simple? (3)

Admin - when going into a topic that is currently running (say by pressing on the new posts) button it always brings you to the first page of the discussion even if the discussion is some pages long. Is it possible to have the default being the most recent page of the discussion?

I wouldnt want it to go to the last page because if it was a topic I hadnt read I then would have to scroll through. The reverse of your problem. There is however a solution to your problem.....

To view the last item in a thread, on the right hand side of the grid that displays all the new posts, it has the user name of the last user to post and a little symbol that looks like a piece of paper. Click on that and it will take you to the last item posted on the thread!

In the topic listing, go to the right-hand column that shows the last update and click on the document icon next to the last poster's name. This takes you to the last post.
