Violent train shaking south of Cuffley, heading north

Post by steven » Fri 05 Oct, 2018 6:42 pm

Over the past couple of months I've noticed the train shaking as it goes over a bit of track between Crews Hill and Cuffley, and it's been getting worse.

Tonight as we went over the same bit of track, despite being seated, everyone had to brace themselves, and everyone looked around slightly shocked. I've reported it to staff at Hertford North and to GNR via Twitter, but the response was they knew about it and that National Rail have put a speed restriction in place.

Well, there was no restriction tonight - there was last week, but only for a day or two. Timetables aren't affected, and nothing is mentioned by the driver about a restriction. I don't think it's being adhered to.

If anyone else has noticed this, can you report it to GNR and National Rail? Another Hatfield is the last thing anyone needs.

I've noticed the same thing. Will also report it. It's definitely got worse in last couple of months...
