Bollywoods
I see that Bollywoods, the worst restaurant in Hertford by some distance (boasting only 1 star for food hygiene....) has lowered the tone of the place even more with a dreadful plasticky looking new white sign. Looks terrible, and the Council should make them replace it with a sign that's in keeping...

Re: Bridal Boutique
They haven't got the address correct on their website. Missed 'Hertford' out! I'll contact them about it. Anyway, good to see a new retail unit, albeit there is already a Bridal Shop in St Andrew's Street.

Re: Quarter Day Closures
A framers is exactly the type of business that needs a high street presence. You need to take your artwork in, look at all the different framing options and know you have left your art in good hands. This is not an internet type business.

Re: Quarter Day Closures
This is getting a tad depressing. We await the fate of Waitrose too and I reckon more casualties to follow. Other high quality towns such as St Albans, Hitchin, Harpenden,Stortford, Epping, Saffron Walden, even Ware seem to be doing a lot better and thriving in some cases. The High Street is for me ...

Re: Sovereign House, Gascoyne Way
Here's hoping a compromise position can be found as the current building is a total eyesore and getting worse with each passing week.

I've written to EHDC Planning to complain and ask what they are going to do about things like this.

Sovereign House, Gascoyne Way
Whilst out for a walk, I saw a surveyor measuring up outside Sovereign House last week. In his hand were drawings on apartments and landscaping scheme. I know a planning application went in to EHDC to convert that site to homes, so I'm hoping the surveyor's presence means that's either approved or w...

Re: Waters Garage
This application makes no sense whatsoever. Noble Cars already has a lease agreed and will be moving onto the site soon. Very confused indeed. Ultimately though it will be homes, so will get smartened up at some stage in the not too distant future.
