Re: Another Italian deli cafe
You could go to Roberto Gerrard. And I imagine Azir on Parliament Square has shoes, though I haven't been there. Possibly the clothes shop on Maidenhead street? Or you could go to the sports shop if you want sports shoes, though they don't seem too inclined to encourage custom there. For a wider sel...

Re: Regiment Fitness Hartham sunday mornings
I've seen them out there often enough. They occupy a small patch of grass on the common and often do things with big logs, tyres, kettlebells etc. Not a fan myself simply because they seem to have stolen branding and slogans from British Military Fitness, which I used to do elsewhere. Still, if it g...

Re: Inconsiderate cycling on the footways.
I'm with Toady and James on this. I spent twenty years cycling around central London, and cycling in Hertford is diabolical in comparison. The other day, on a short ride from Tescos to Bengeo I had no fewer than three drivers attempting to flatten me. One of them pulled out of a T-junction right int...

Re: Swanwatch 2015
Spent a nice while on Sunday watching a pair of swans with 5 cygnets by the weir. 4 of the cygnets were riding on a swan's back, then they all jumped off and paddled about. Not sure if they were the "Sainsburys swans" or a different pair. After a while a couple of the cygnets decided to potter about...

Non-German dishwasher repair?
Hello
Anyone able to recommend someone to repair a non-German dishwasher (it's Indesit). Had a recommendation before but they only work with German machines,
Thanks

Re: leaky tap
Take it to the plumbing shop in Hertford town centre for reference and buy a new one for just a couple of pounds (if that). Where is this plumbing shop? Every now and then I need something plumbing related and end up in e.g. Wickes or looking at the closed sign outside Botsfords... Somehow never no...

Il Vino empire expands
I see Il Vino have opened up a cafe on Fore street, in the shop that used to sell bits and bobs by the post office alley. This was rumoured before and now it's come to pass. I don't want to restart the (endless) debate about how many cafes Hertford can support, but thought I'd let people know it's t...

Re: Bircherley Green Redevelopment
If Aldi come to Hertford they should take up the empty plot on the Ware road which at the moment is a buddleia plantation. You could park up a KFC next door to them as well.Hugo Kane wrote:Can i just say that Aldi are superb.
If they came to Bircherley Green I think a lot of people will be surprised.

Solicitor (not for conveyancing)
Any recommendations for a local solictitor who can do some straightforward employment contract related work? Asking in a separate topic because I don't want a conveyancing expert! Ideally someone who can respond fairly quickly and doesn't need too much chasing...

You can also pop into Clock Cards (I believe they ship them over to Landseers in Ware for the actual work)
