Re: Bye bye First Capital Connect
Err lets be clear about this, the new trains were coming whether it was govia or not. they would have come if FCC had retained the lease. I don't think they were. I asked FCC many times in the last year about new trains and they always said that there were no plans. Even at one of the meet the mana...

A positive post about FCC from me
I renewed my monthly season ticket at Hertford North yesterday and was given a book of vouchers for a free newspapers, tea / coffee, a croissant and 5 day gym membership. These vouchers are as compensation for the poor service that FCC keep dishing up.

Bye bye First Capital Connect
First Capital Connect have been unsuccessful with their bid for the Thameslink Great Northern franchise. From September I will be directing my commuter dissatisfaction at Govia. The Department for Transport have intimated that there will be 150 new carriages on the Hertford Loop from 2018 with servi...

Re: Waters Garage
Word on the street is that it is to become a combined coffee shop / hairdressers / bookshop / estate agent / "local" supermarket / charity shop that will draw all the custom from the town centre.

Re: Issues with the Hertford Loop debated in Parliament
Well as as cynical old socialist I have to say that's more than a reasonable submission by someone I'd not usually give much time for. Succinct & to the pont with some harsh commentary. Good. Same here. I thought all the MPs represented their constituents very well. They didn't come across as over-...

Re: Issues with the Hertford Loop debated in Parliament

The transport minister responds by reading marketing material from FCC and answering questions that haven't been asked. When I'm turfed off a train because the lighting has failed, I don't really care about FCC's "...

Issues with the Hertford Loop debated in Parliament
Mark Prisk was one of a number of MPs that brought to the attention of the transport minister the poor service that we have been experiencing of late.

Re: 16 Jan morning rush hour delays caused by...
And then you get this:
17:18 Moorgate to Stevenage due 18:14
More info
This train will be started from Finsbury Park.
This train will no longer call at Moorgate, Old Street, Essex Road, Highbury & Islington and Drayton Park.
This is due to overhead wire problems
I bet they don't see the irony.
